Welcome to the Terms & Conditions page of MyLoveCoons. This page explains the general terms relating to kitten reservations, payments, collection, health checks, and buyer responsibilities. These terms are designed to protect the welfare of our kittens, provide clarity for future owners, and support a fair and transparent process for both parties.
By placing a reservation, making a payment, or purchasing a kitten from MyLoveCoons, the buyer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
General Terms
At MyLoveCoons, we are committed to responsible breeding and to placing our kittens in safe, loving, and suitable homes. Every kitten is raised with care and attention, and we expect future owners to understand the responsibility that comes with welcoming a Maine Coon kitten into their lives.
All information provided on this website is intended to support prospective owners and explain the way we work. These Terms & Conditions apply to reservations, purchases, and the transfer of ownership of kittens from MyLoveCoons.
Reservations and Deposits
A kitten may only be considered reserved once a deposit has been received and confirmed by MyLoveCoons.
All deposits are non-refundable. For this reason, we ask buyers to be sure of their decision before making any payment. A deposit secures the reservation of a specific kitten for a limited period and confirms the buyer’s intention to proceed.
MyLoveCoons reserves the right to refuse or decline any reservation or sale at any stage if we believe the proposed home is not suitable or if circumstances require us to act in the best interests of the kitten.
Payments
Final payment must be made in full before the kitten leaves MyLoveCoons, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
By making final payment, the buyer confirms that they have read and accepted all relevant information provided by MyLoveCoons, including these Terms & Conditions, and understands that the agreement is binding.
No kitten will be released until full payment has been received and cleared.
Health and Veterinary Care
At MyLoveCoons, all kittens receive appropriate care while they remain with us. This includes routine care, monitoring, and any veterinary attention considered necessary before collection.
To the best of our knowledge, every kitten leaves MyLoveCoons in good health at the time of collection. However, new owners must understand that kittens can react to travel, a new environment, and separation from familiar surroundings. This adjustment period can sometimes result in temporary signs of stress.
These may include reduced appetite, diarrhoea, constipation, watery eyes, mild digestive upset, or changes in behaviour. These issues are not uncommon during transition and should be monitored carefully by the new owner.
24-Hour Health Check
We require every buyer to arrange a veterinary health check within 24 hours of collecting their kitten.
If any health issue is identified within this period, the buyer must notify MyLoveCoons immediately and provide written confirmation from a licensed veterinary surgeon, including the date and time of examination.
The cost of this veterinary check is the responsibility of the buyer.
If a health concern is raised within the required 24-hour period and supported by written veterinary evidence, MyLoveCoons will review the matter and discuss the next steps with the buyer.
If no concern is raised within 24 hours of collection, the kitten will be considered accepted by the buyer as healthy at the time of transfer, to the best of our knowledge.
Transfer of Responsibility
From the moment the kitten is collected, responsibility for the kitten passes to the buyer.
This includes responsibility for all future veterinary treatment, vaccinations, food, insurance, travel arrangements, housing, care, and general welfare. MyLoveCoons cannot be held responsible for any costs or issues arising after collection, except where required by law.
Buyers must ensure that the kitten is transported safely and settled into a warm, secure, and appropriate home environment.
Buyer Responsibilities
By purchasing a kitten from MyLoveCoons, the buyer agrees to provide proper daily care and to act at all times in the best interests of the cat.
This includes providing suitable indoor accommodation or other safe living conditions, fresh water and appropriate food every day, routine and emergency veterinary care when needed, time, attention, and a safe environment, as well as patience during the kitten’s adjustment period.
The buyer also agrees not to place the kitten or cat in any situation that may cause harm, neglect, distress, or unnecessary risk.
Rehoming
If at any time the buyer is no longer able to keep the cat, they remain responsible for ensuring that the cat is rehomed safely and appropriately.
MyLoveCoons operates as a closed cattery and, for health and welfare reasons, may not be able to take cats back into our facility. However, buyers are welcome to contact us for guidance if they need help or advice regarding rehoming.
Under no circumstances should a cat bred by MyLoveCoons be abandoned, neglected, or passed on irresponsibly.
Pedigree and Documentation
Where applicable, MyLoveCoons will provide the relevant paperwork for the kitten, including pedigree and registration documentation.
Kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) as non-active (pet only), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Breeding Decisions and Standards
MyLoveCoons carefully selects breeding cats with consideration for health, temperament, and breed type. We aim to maintain responsible breeding values and high standards throughout our programme.
While every effort is made to breed healthy and well-adjusted kittens, buyers understand that no breeder can guarantee every future aspect of development, size, colour, temperament, or unforeseen health conditions.
Limitation of Responsibility
To the best of our knowledge, every kitten leaves MyLoveCoons in sound health. However, once the kitten has been collected, MyLoveCoons cannot be held responsible for issues arising from stress, environmental change, diet changes, accidents, poor care, exposure to illness, or circumstances beyond our control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such limitation would be unlawful under applicable law.
Social Media and Conduct
We expect all communication between MyLoveCoons and buyers to remain respectful, honest, and reasonable.
In the event of a disagreement, both parties are encouraged to resolve matters privately and directly before publishing comments online. We do not support harassment, abusive behaviour, or defamatory statements on social media or elsewhere.
Right to Refuse Sale
MyLoveCoons reserves the right to refuse a sale at any time before collection if we believe it is in the best interests of the kitten.
This may include concerns about the suitability of the home, communication issues, welfare concerns, or other circumstances affecting the safe placement of the kitten.
Acceptance of Terms
By paying a deposit, making full payment, or collecting a kitten from MyLoveCoons, the buyer confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
We strongly recommend that all buyers read this page carefully before proceeding with a reservation or purchase.
